For anyone who would like to get involved and join us – here is the information you would need!!
We need people with all sorts of skills. Taking minutes, leafleting, canvasing for petitions… making banners, decorating bulletin boards, any creative idea you can come up with to raise awareness!!!
The meetings are open – anyone can come along and join in. You don’t need to call ahead. If you are interested in receiving information, or meeting minutes, upcoming events, please leave me a message (healthsag@gmail.com) and we can get in touch.

If you take the 72 Pape bus down to Queen from the subway – you just walk 2 seconds East…. and there we are!!!
Our next meeting (with PFIB) is on April 3rd at 1:30 until 4:30 at South Riverdale Community Health Centre!!!
The one after that (HSAG) is April 4th at Ralph Thornton – at 1:30 – 3:30
Also – for more information on what we’re involved in right now, you can check the next two links. One is the website for Put Food in the Budget, and the next are the blogs from over 30 communities surrounding Toronto that are taking part in the Do the Math Challenge. We’re on a Provincial campaign – trying to raise rates for every person on social assistance and demanding that the process of deciding what money people get on Social Assistance is transparent and reflects the ACTUAL cost of living! We are also involved in trying to lower TTC costs so that transportation is accessible to everyone!
